Ok sooooo I am not fortunate enough to have bulletin boards in the hall, yet we need work up that is constantly changing.... So you tape it up with a cute boarder and details right? No. We need butcher paper too! And did I mention change it a million times? Well what happens when you tape something to butcher paper?? It tears of course!!!
So we've tried the sheet protectors and the clothesline, but there is ALWAYS something malfunctioning!
If you already do this let me have my little celebration okay?!? Hehe all I did was cut a teensy tiny slit in the paper and fed a paper clip through :) easy peasy lemon squeezey!

How did u get the clips to stay on??
That's a great idea!! I was just thinking about how I am going to have to remake my sight word bulletin board, because of the construction paper ripping. Next year I am totally using paperclips! :)

Great idea! You've got a goofy situation to work around and it looks like you found a highly workable solution. I love it when that happens!

Great idea, Jessica! A few years ago, I had a classroom with no bulletin boards. I was almost over the edge, trying to get the strip of backing paper up for the "faux bulletin board"! :) Your little tip would have made changing things out during the year sooo much easier!

Primary Inspiration
I'm really surprised that having paper up is a requirement. Especially since most schools are lacking in funding, you think your principal would want to save that money to buy other, more important things. Anyway, I love how you have solved the problem and made it work for you!

Thanks for sharing this idea! I'm sitting here saying, "duh! Why didn't I think of that!" I "made" some bulletin boards this year with butcher paper and yes, the ripping has been driving me crazy. Definitely will be doing the paper clip thing now!
